Schwedische - Swedish

Swedish Massage

It targets specific tension and pain areas, which can relieve muscular overuse and many chronic pain conditions.
It's particularly good for increasing oxygen flow in the blood and releasing toxins from the muscles, improving circulation without overburdening the heart.
Swedish massage was invented by a Swedish fencing instructor named Per Henrik Ling in the 1830s. When he was injured in the elbows, he reportedly cured himself using tapping (percussion) strokes around the affected area.

反射療法 - Chinese

Reflexology

It is a more holistic approach that aims to treat the individual's body, mind, and spirit.
Its origins can be traced back to ancient China, where it was used as a form of healing. Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet and hands that correspond to all of the organs and systems in the body.

レイキ - Japanese

Reiki

Reiki has been shown to have several benefits for both physical and mental health. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that involves the practitioner gently placing their hands on or near the body.
Reiki was developed in the 1920s by Mikao Usui in Japan as a spiritual practice.

Massage - english

Soft Tissue massage

The term "soft tissue manipulation" started being used more commonly in the mid-20th century, especially in sports medicine contexts, to refer to massage techniques targeting the muscles, tendons, etc. This pressure is applied using manual manipulation techniques such as kneading, pinching, and stretching.

การนวดแผนไทย - Thai

Thai Massage

It is a more holistic approach that aims to treat the individual's body, mind, and spirit.
The origins of Thai massage stems from the Indian subcontinent, during the Buddha's lifetime.
If one traces the evolution of the techniques of healing-massage practiced in Thailand, one discovers the astonishing fact that the earliest roots of Thai massage lie not in Thailand but in India. The legendary founder of the art is believed to have been a doctor from northern India.

μασάζ - greek

deep tissue massage

According to some understandings, this form of bodywork has been practiced since the times of the Ancient Greeks and the Egyptian Pharaohs. In this version, the working of deep tissues was a custom that had been taken to Canada and the United States towards the end of the 1800s.
But in more modern times, it was first commonly used in the 19th century, when Canadian doctors used the technique to treat sufferers of whiplash.

Testimonials

I enjoyed a wonderful massage with Cindy a couple of weeks ago. She is a skilled masseuse with a gentle, but firm touch. I had a stiff neck and a strained muscle in my glutes, by the end of my 60 minute session I was not only totally relaxed but the crick in my neck was greatly improved. She checked in with me throughout the massage to make sure she was getting all my problem spots.
I felt very safe and comfortable with Cindy and will return. Her price was very reasonable.

how massage therapy can be
highly beneficial for injury recovery

Increases Blood Flow & Circulation

Massaging the injured area helps promote blood flow, which brings in more oxygen and nutrients needed for healing and flushing out cellular debris.
Improved circulation helps reduce stiffness and painful muscle spasms around the injury site.

Breaks Up Scar Tissue

Targeted massage techniques can break up and soften newly formed scar tissue adhesions that restrict range of motion.
This allows for more muscle flexibility and prevents the scar tissue from re-adhering to itself or surrounding tissues.

Restores Muscle Tone & Strength

As injuries heal, massage can help re-tone atrophied muscles and restore strength lost during immobility.
Specific strokes re-educate muscle fiber activation and integration with surrounding tissues.
